SEATTLE, WA — A woman was injured last Friday evening when she was hit by a vehicle near Walt Hundley Playfield in West Seattle’s Highpoint area, reports Westside Seattle.

The incident occurred near 34th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Myrtle Street on July 15, at around 7:15 p.m.

Details remain limited, but officials said the woman was struck by a black sedan. Moments after the crash, the driver pulled over and took the victim’s cell phone before fleeing the scene.

The extent of the victim’s injuries were not disclosed, but a photo taken at the scene shows Seattle Fire Department EMTs aiding the patient, who appeared able to sit upright.

Authorities were later able to use the phone’s location data to trace it to the area of 31st and Othello Street Southwest. However, the driver has not been found as of this writing.
