KING COUNTY, WA — A 23-year-old Edmonds resident was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after being struck by a car while riding a motorcycle on Interstate 405 near Bothell, reports My Edmonds News.
The Washington State Patrol said the collision occurred on the southbound interstate at about 12:30 p.m.
An early investigation shows the man was riding a motorcycle southbound when he was hit by a Nissan Pathfinder that was making a lane change.
Officials said the contact sent the motorcycle into the guardrail and caused the rider was eject from the bike.
Medics rushed the victim to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. At this time, the extent of his injuries remain undisclosed.
The driver of the Nissan, a 23-year-old Everett woman, and her three passengers were not reported hurt.
At this time, the WSP has not reported any pending charges or citations.
