SEATTLE, WA — A 35-year-old man was hospitalized Thursday night after falling off his electric scooter in a crash at an intersection in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, according to Capitol Hill Seattle Blog.
The accident occurred in the area of 15th Avenue East and East Republican Street shortly before 10:45 p.m.
Early reports from emergency dispatchers indicate the scooter rider struck a ramp and fell, causing him to lose consciousness.
Seattle Fire crews said the victim suffered injuries to his face and head. He received treatment at the scene and was transported to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.
Capitol Hill Seattle Blog noted the crash occurred near the site of a new bus bulb installation for the northbound Metro Rt 11 line. Officials did not say whether the addition factored into the accident.
