KING COUNTY, WA — A semi-truck overturned Wednesday morning on Interstate 405 near the Westfield Southcenter shopping mall in Tukwila, according to KOMO News.
The Tukwila Fire Department said the accident happened on the northbound lanes just east of I-5, shortly after 6:00 a.m.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the event, but officials said the container of the semi broke in half in the crash.
No injuries to the driver or anyone else were reported.
Multiple lanes and ramps in the area were left blocked for over an hour during the emergency response.
The Washington State Patrol expected the road to fully close as tow crews arrived on the scene to remove the wreckage.
