SEATTLE, WA — A car caught fire Wednesday morning after a multi-vehicle collision on the State Route 520 Floating Bridge near east Seattle, according to King 5.

The Washington State Patrol said the accident occurred on the westbound lanes near the middle of the bridge, shortly before 10:00 a.m.

It was not immediately clear what caused the wreck, but three vehicles were involved, causing one to burst into flames.

The Washington State Department of Transportation indicated all westbound lanes were closed, but commuters were passing the scene through the right shoulder.

At about 10:45 a.m., nearly 50 minutes later, all lanes were reopened to traffic.

Multiple agencies, including the WSP, Seattle Fire Department, and the WSDOT, assisted at the scene.

No injuries have been reported as of this writing.
