ISLAND COUNTY, WA — A vehicle crash Thursday afternoon blocked the westbound side of State Route 20 in far north Oak Harbor, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The collision occurred at the Deception Pass Bridge, near milepost 42. It was first reported by the WSDOT at 1:36 p.m.
Officials did not say what caused the wreck or how many vehicles were involved, but a traffic backup was expected to quickly form in the area.
HEADS UP: There’s an accident on westbound SR 20 at Deception Pass (MP 42). We don’t have cameras for this area but expect traffic to back up quickly.

Shortly after 2:00 p.m., the scene had cleared and the lane was reopened to traffic.
