SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A man was hurt Wednesday night when he was struck by a pickup truck on an Interstate 5 entrance ramp in Everett, according to KIRO 7 Seattle.

The incident took place on the ramp from Broadway Street to I-5 southbound at around 9:37 p.m.

A preliminary investigation by the Washington State Patrol indicates a driver was traveling onto the ramp when they hit the male pedestrian, who was walking in the road.

Officials said the victim came to rest on the right shoulder of the road as the driver fled the scene.

No further details have been disclosed regarding the patient’s condition.

An investigation and search for the suspect driver remain ongoing. Authorities said the striking vehicle is believed to be a white Toyota Tacoma pickup truck made between 2014 and 2018.
