SEATTLE, WA — A 19-year-old driver had to be extricated from a car Tuesday evening after a rollover accident in West Seattle’s Youngstown neighborhood, according to West Seattle Blog.

The collision occurred in the 3000 block of Southwest Avalon Way and was first reported by WSB ay 8:36 p.m.

It was unclear what caused the wreck, but both Seattle Police and Seattle Fire crews responded to the scene where a commercial vehicle had flipped onto its side after hitting a parked car.

Firefighters worked to remove the driver of the striking car, who had become trapped after the crash. The patient was then transported by ambulance to a local hospital in stable condition. The extent of their injuries was not disclosed.

A section of Southwest Avalon Way was shut down during the emergency response, but by 9:56 p.m., Metro announced bus service had resumed in the area, indicating the road had reopened.
