KING COUNTY, WA — A 42-year-old man was seriously injured last Saturday evening when his motorcycle collided with a car in Kent’s East Hill area, according to Kent Reporter.

The accident occurred in the 13500 block of Southeast 272nd Street on June 11.

A preliminary investigation by Kent Police shows the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on Southeast 272nd Street when a car turned left onto the westbound lane from 135th Avenue Southeast.

The car was said to have entered the motorcyclist’s direct path, causing a crash.

The victim received treatment from fire crews and medics before he was transported to Station 75. From there, he was prepped to be flown to a Seattle-area hospital. According to Kent Police, the patient suffered serious injuries but is expected to survive.

Officials said the driver of the car, a 37-year-old woman, stayed at the scene and cooperated with an investigation. She was not suspected of impairment.

No further updates have been shared at this time.
