KITSAP COUNTY, WA — Two people were injured, one critically, late Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident near west Port Orchard, according to Kitsap Sun.
The crash happened on Bay Street, near the Southwest Wilkins Drive intersection, shortly before 4:30 p.m.
Details are limited, but Port Orchard Police said a man drove a vehicle into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle.
Officials confirmed two people, including a critically-injured woman in the victim vehicle, were transported to a local hospital. It was unclear whether the other patient was the causing driver or another occupant.
The wrong-way driver was said to have cooperated with investigators. At this time, no pending charges or citations have been reported.
