SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A motorcyclist died Monday morning following a collision with a school bus in the Westmont area of south Everett, reports My Everett News.
Everett Police said the fatal accident occurred at the corner of 8th Avenue West and Casino Road.
According to authorities, the school bus was traveling northbound on 8th Avenue West and was turning onto the westbound lanes of Casino Road when it collided with an eastbound motorcyclist.
Everett Fire medics rushed the rider to Providence Regional Medical Center. The victim later died from their injuries.
Authorities said the driver of the school bus stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers. Officials confirmed no students were on the bus at the time of the wreck.
An investigation by the department’s Traffic Safety Unit remains ongoing.
