WHATCOM COUNTY, WA — A commercial truck overturned and lost its tanker trailer last Friday afternoon, blocking a right lane on State Route 539 near Lynden, reports KIRO 7 Seattle.

The incident occurred on the roundabout at Ten Mile Road and was first reported by the Washington State Patrol at about 2:25 p.m.

Details are limited, but Trooper Jacob Kennett said the truck, which had been carrying milk, rolled onto its side, causing the contents of the tanker to spill onto the roadway.

No injuries were reported in the crash, and no other vehicles were involved.

Multiple other agencies, including fire crews, the Washington State Department of Transportation, and tow operators, assisted at the scene.

By 5:17 p.m. nearly three hours later, the scene had cleared with all lanes reopened to traffic.
