by | May 5, 2022 | Accidents in the News |

SEATTLE, WA — A multi-vehicle wreck involving a Via to Transit Metro bus was reported Wednesday afternoon in West Seattle’s Riverview neighborhood, according to West Seattle Blog.

The accident occurred in the area of Highland Park Way Southwest and West Marginal Way Southwest, near Riverview Playfield. It was first reported by WSB at 1:38 p.m.

Little information has been released at this time, but the Metro bus appears to have been rear-ended by a pickup truck, which was also found to have been hit from behind by another pickup.

A photo taken by a Seattle Department of Transportation camera shows the scene blocking the far-right lane of West Marginal Way going uphill.

Both Seattle Police and Seattle Fire crews responded to the scene, but firefighters cleared the area not long after, suggesting no major injuries.

By 2:13 p.m., all lanes were reopened to traffic.
