THURSTON COUNTY, WA — Five people were hurt, three seriously, in two separate collisions Tuesday night at the same east Lacey intersection, according to KIRO 7 Seattle.

Both crashes were reported at the corner of Martin Way Northeast and Hensley Street Northeast, in the Tanglewood Thompson Place area.

Authorities first responded to the scene after receiving reports of an accident involving a car and a motorcycle at about 9:00 p.m.

It was unclear what caused the wreck, but the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

All eastbound lanes were shut down in the area

At 11:00 p.m., about two hours after the first crash, officials responded to a second crash where four people were injured.

No details have been released on the circumstances behind the event, but three of the victims were transported to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center. As of this writing, one patient was listed in critical condition and another was listed in serious condition.

At this time, officials have not disclosed further information.
