SEATTLE, WA — Three people were injured Thursday night in a high-speed two-vehicle wreck near West Seattle’s South Delridge neighborhood, reports West Seattle Blog.

The accident happened at the intersection of Southwest Roxbury Street and 21st Avenue Southwest. It was first reported by WSB at 9:40 p.m.

According to authorities, a 41-year-old woman was driving a Dodge Dakota pickup truck eastbound on Roxbury at the same time a 43-year-old man was driving a VW Jetta westbound on the road. A witness said that as both vehicles neared the intersection, the pickup veered past the center line and hit the Jetta head-on.

The driver of the Jetta and his passenger, a 45-year-old man, both suffered several broken bones. Seattle Fire crews had to perform a rescue extrication to remove both occupants from the vehicle.

Authorities said the driver of the causing pickup truck suffered injuries to the face.

All three patients were transported to Harborview Medical Center.

A section of Roxbury Street was shut down in both directions and reopened several hours later at 2:30 a.m.

As of this writing, no updates have been released regarding any pending charges.
