SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle accident Wednesday evening closed two lanes on Interstate 5 near downtown Seattle’s Yesler Terrace neighborhood, according to Washington State Department of Transportation.
The crash occurred on the northbound lanes at Yesler Way and was first reported by WSDOT at 6:30 p.m.
It was unclear what led up to the event, but an HOV lane and a general purpose lane were both blocked.
By 7:08 p.m., Washington State Patrol and WSDOT’s Incident Response Team (IRT) had responded to the scene.
