KITSAP COUNTY, WA — Two people died Saturday night after a two-vehicle crash near N.A.D. Park in northwest Bremerton, according to Kitsap Sun.

Bremerton Police said the fatal accident happened in the 5700 block of Kitsap Way.

An early investigation indicates a 62-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet Camaro eastbound on the road when, for reasons still being investigated, he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer into the westbound lanes. The Chevrolet then collided head-on with an oncoming GMC Yukon driven by a 43-year-old man.

Authorities confirmed the driver of the Chevrolet and his passenger, a 55-year-old man, died from their injuries.

The driver of the GMC, who was found to have been driving 60 to 80 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone, suffered minor injuries.

No additional information has been made available at this time.
