KING COUNTY, WA — A Silverdale man died Sunday evening after a motorcycle accident involving three other vehicles on Interstate 5 near north Federal Way, according to KOMO News.
The series of collisions occurred on the southbound lanes past South 272nd Street at around 7:00 p.m.
Washington State Patrol said the motorcyclist was speeding when he crashed into another vehicle. The impact of the crash caused the second vehicle to disable on the right shoulder and the rider to eject from his bike. Shortly after, another vehicle struck both the motorcycle and the victim before an additional vehicle approached and hit the bike.
Authorities confirmed the victim, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the wreck, died from his injuries at the scene before first responders arrived.
No other injuries were reported in the event, and no further information has been disclosed at this time.
