KITSAP COUNTY, WA — A 40-year-old man was hospitalized early Friday morning after his motorcycle collided with the side of pickup in Bremerton’s Rocky Point area, reports Kitsap Sun.
The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office said the wreck occurred near a residence along Rocky Point Road.
Details are limited, but authorities believe the man was riding his motorcycle at a high rate of speed when the bike hit a pickup truck pulling out from a driveway.
The rider suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Seattle’s Harborview Medical Center. As of this writing, no updates on his condition have been released.
An investigation remains underway, but at this time sheriff’s deputies do not suspect the other driver was intoxicated at the time of the collision.
