SEATTLE, WA — A vehicle crash late Tuesday afternoon closed a left center lane on Interstate 5 near Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood, according to Washington State Department of Transportation.
The accident occurred on the southbound lanes near Mercer Street and was first reported by WSDOT at 4:00 p.m.
On I-5 southbound at Mercer St there is a collision blocking the left center lane.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the wreck, but by 4:07 p.m., WSDOT’s Incident Response Team (IRT) had arrived at the scene.

Shortly after 4:10 p.m., the scene was reported cleared from the scene with all lanes reopened to traffic.
