KING COUNTY, WA — A young girl was hospitalized early Sunday morning after a single-vehicle collision near an apartment complex in south Federal Way, according to Federal Way Mirror.
Federal Way police responded to the scene in the 35800 block of 16th Avenue South, near Crosspointe Apartments, at around 5:36 a.m.
The circumstances behind the crash were not immediately clear, but a vehicle had run off the roadway and collided with a tree.
A child passenger suffered visible injuries to her face and was transported to St. Francis Hospital. She was later found to have sustained possible facial and spinal injuries.
At this time, the driver is not suspected of intoxication.
No further details have been disclosed, but authorities said the case is under federal investigation.
