PIERCE COUNTY, WA — A 39-year-old man was hurt last Thursday afternoon when the City of Tacoma Public Works truck he was driving hit another vehicle in downtown Tacoma, reports The News Tribune.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Tacoma Avenue South and South 11th Street at around 1:43 p.m.
Tacoma police said the public works driver was heading west on South 11th Street when he entered the path of a 34-year-old woman driving north on Tacoma Avenue South. The two vehicles collided, causing the city truck to spin and flip onto its roof.
Authorities said the driver of the public works truck suffered minor knee pain and the female driver was not reported injured.
