News: One hospitalized after car crashes down embankment in Fife

PIERCE COUNTY, WA — One person was injured Sunday night in a single-vehicle collision near the Puyallup River in Fife, according to KIRO 7 News.

The accident occurred near the intersection of Frank Albert Road East and North Levee Road East, and was first reported by Tacoma Fire Department at 6:40 p.m.

According to firefighters, one person was transported to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries. It was not immediately clear whether they were the driver or a passenger in the vehicle.

A photo taken at the scene shows a passenger car flipped onto its roof after having traveled off the roadway and  down an embankment.

Authorities have not released further information on a possible cause of the crash, but an investigation was in progress.
