SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — An elderly couple died Friday evening after a two-vehicle accident near Everett’s View Ridge Madison neighborhood, according to KOMO News.

The fatal accident happened at the corner of Forest Drive and West Mukilteo Boulevard and was first reported by Everett Police at 4:38 p.m.

It was unclear what led up to the crash, but authorities said the couple’s sedan collided with an SUV.

Investigators confirmed the couple died from their injuries, while a female occupant in the SUV was transported to a local hospital with an injury considered non-life-threatening.

No further details have been disclosed at this time, but impairment and speed are not suspected factors in the accident.

West Mukilteo Boulevard was shut down from Forest Park to Dogwood Drive as authorities investigated.
