KITSAP COUNTY, WA — Three people were injured Sunday evening in a multi-vehicle accident involving a teen driver fleeing a traffic stop on State Route 303 in Silverdale, according to The Leader.

According to authorities, a trooper spotted an 18-year-old driver speeding in a 2004 Ford Crown Victoria and tried to stop him.The teen driver continued driving away, but the trooper did not pursue him. Moments later, the teen sideswiped a 2014 Subaru Forester driven by a 39-year-old woman. He then veered to the left and struck a Jersey barrier along the median, causing the Ford to roll over and strike a 2001 Dodge Durango. The impact caused the Durango, driven by a 31-year-old woman, to overturn.

The driver of the Durango, along with the car’s two female passengers aged 31 and 63, suffered undisclosed injuries and were transported to St. Michael Medical Center-Silverdale.

The causing driver and the driver of the Subaru were not reported injured.

WSP said the teen driver faces charges of eluding, hit-and-run, and third-degree driving with a suspended license.
