KING COUNTY, WA — At least one person was injured late Wednesday morning in a multi-vehicle rollover crash involving a cement truck and a semi-truck near Renton, according to KIRO 7 News.

The accident happened at the intersection of 140th Way Southeast and State Route 169, or Renton-Maple Valley Road, at around 10:45 a.m.

It was not clear what led up to the collision, but the cement truck appeared to have crashed through a barrier, and both trucks came to rest on their sides.

Authorities have not confirmed the number of people injured, but only minor injuries were reported.

All westbound lanes of SR-169 were expected to remain closed for multiple hours as crews tended to damaged traffic signal poles and a cement spill. A hazmat team was also called to the scene due to a large fuel spill.

Eastbound lanes were kept open but were heavily congested. Motorists were encouraged to avoid the area.

An investigation into the accident was underway.
