PIERCE COUNTY, WA — One person was hurt late Sunday afternoon when they crashed their pickup truck into a tree along State Route 161 in Eatonville, according to Trooper Robert Reyer with Washington State Patrol.
The accident took place on a stretch of SR-161 near 352nd Street East, or Golden Road. It was first reported by WSP at 4:43 p.m.

According to Trooper Reyer, the vehicle had been traveling too fast for the wet weather conditions at the time, causing the driver to lose control.
Authorities said the driver sustained minor injuries, though it was not immediately clear if they were transported to a hospital.
