MASON COUNTY, WA — A 61-year-old man Bremerton man was injured Wednesday night when he crashed his pickup truck into another pickup on State Route 300 near Belfair, according to MasonWebTV.
The accident happened on the eastbound lanes of the highway (North Shore Road) near milepost 1.1 at around 7:00 p.m.
According to Washington State Patrol, the man was driving a 1976 pickup east when the truck went over the fog line. The driver overcorrected and veered into the westbound lane, where he collided with an oncoming 2018 pickup truck.
The causing driver was transported to Bremerton’s St. Michaels Hospital with undisclosed injuries. Authorities have not disclosed any updates on his condition.
The driver of the 2018 pickup, a 54-year-old man, was not reported injured.
WSP said both vehicles were totaled in the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
