SEATTLE, WA — A semi-truck slammed into a building Friday morning in south Seattle’s South Park neighborhood, according to FOX 13 Seattle.

The incident occurred in the 1200 block of South Trenton Street, off 14th Avenue South, shortly before 7:30 a.m.

It was not immediately clear what caused the accident, but Seattle Fire crews said moments after the semi collided with the building, a power pole fell onto the vehicle.

The driver was able to exit the truck after the crash, but authorities have not confirmed whether or not any significant injuries were sustained.

The public was asked to avoid the area as crews worked to determine the stability of the structure.

An investigation into the incident was underway.
