News: Woman fatally hit after exiting car on I-5 in south Seattle

SEATTLE, WA — A 53-year-old woman died Sunday night after leaving a car during an argument on Interstate 5 near Seattle’s Boeing Field, according to Q13 FOX.

The accident happened on the southbound lanes of I-5 near Boeing Access Road.

An early investigation indicates the woman, a passenger in a car, was engaged in an argument with its male driver, who then pulled over on the highway’s left shoulder. Shortly after, the woman exited the vehicle and ran across the interstate before being struck by an oncoming car.

The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The incident remained under investigation as of Monday afternoon.
