KING COUNTY, WA — Three people were hurt Thursday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash involving an overturned semi-truck on Interstate 5 near Kent’s Star Lake area, according to KIRO 7 News.
The accident happened on the southbound lanes of I-5 south of 272nd Street.
Details are limited, but authorities said two people were treated at the scene for minor injuries and one person was transported to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Photos taken at the scene show a dark-colored SUV with significant rear-end damage and a semi-truck rolled on its side off the roadway.
Multiple lanes were shut down in response to the accident, and as many as three lanes were expected to remained closed for an extended duration.
