SEATTLE, WA — An overturned semi-truck Wednesday morning shut down all westbound lanes on Interstate 90 near Seattle’s Atlantic area, according to KIRO 7 News.

The accident happened on a span of I-90 westbound near Corwin Place South, west of Rainier Avenue South, at around 7:00 a.m.

A photo shared by Washington State Department of Transportation shows the truck on its side across all traffic lanes.

Due to the event, westbound motorists were unable to exit to both northbound and southbound lanes of I-5. Exits to the Sodo area were also blocked.

Crews worked to transport the semi, clear debris, and restore Jersey barriers before reopening all westbound lanes at around 10:00 a.m.
