KING COUNTY, WA — A 28-year-old Kent man died Sunday morning after being struck by a semi-truck on Interstate 90 near North Bend, according to Living Snoqualmie.
The incident occurred on the eastbound lanes of the interstate just west of milepost 43 at around 6:38 a.m.
Washington State Patrol said the male pedestrian, who was wearing dark clothing as he walked in the far left lane of I-90 eastbound, was hit by a 2017 semi-truck traveling in the same lane. Both the pedestrian and the vehicle came to a stop in the roadway.
The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene, confirmed authorities.
The driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was not injured. He was not suspected of impairment.
