SEATTLE, WA — A man was arrested Tuesday morning after stealing a school bus and crashing into multiple vehicles in Seattle’s Sodo, Beacon Hill, and Central District areas, according to The Seattle Times.

Seattle police were first notified of the theft near South Horton Street and Colorado Avenue South shortly before 8:00 a.m.

An investigation indicates the suspect struck a number of vehicles as he drove erratically through Sodo. He then rammed into other vehicles near Rainier Avenue South and South McClellan Street while going more than 50 miles per hour.

Authorities said the man then hit a King County Metro bus near Rainier Avenue South and 23rd Avenue before crashing into a construction site for a light-rail station.

At one point, the man ran from the bus but was later apprehended by police. He is under investigation for charges of vehicular assault and auto theft.
