PIERCE COUNTY, WA — Medics were called to the scene of a crash involving a semi-truck and a car on Interstate 5 in Tacoma Thursday afternoon, according to Trooper Robert Reyer with Washington State Patrol.

The collision occurred on the northbound lanes of I-5 just south of South 56th Street and was first reported at 12:13 p.m.
Photos shared by troopers show a black passenger car overturned on its roof. At least three right lanes were closed while crews worked to clear the scene.
It is unclear at this time if anyone was hurt as a result of the crash.
