KITSAP COUNTY, WA — Four people were hospitalized Saturday after a crash involving a teen driver suspected of DUI in Suquamish.

According to Kitsap Daily News, the single-car collision occurred in the 20000 block of Columbia Street Northeast, south of Robin Lane Northeast.

Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputies said an 18-year-old woman was at the wheel of a 2007 Hyundai Elantra traveling at a high rate of speed on Columbia Street when she lost control of the car at a curve in the road. The vehicle overturned and ended up in a ditch on the other side of the road.

Two people, a man and a woman, were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries.

Another man and woman were taken to St. Michael’s Medical Center in Silverdale with serious injuries considered non-life-threatening.

Authorities were able to obtain a warrant for a blood sample from the young driver after she was processed for impairment. She was transported to St. Michael’s Medical Center with minor injuries before being booked into the county jail. She may face four counts of vehicular assault.
