LYNNWOOD, WA — Two 20-year-old men were struck early Tuesday morning in a fatal pickup truck collision in the Larch Way neighborhood of east Lynnwood, according to KIRO 7 News.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident in the 16900 block of 13th Avenue West at approximately 1:40 a.m.
A 64-year-old woman was at the wheel of a pickup truck traveling on 13th Avenue West when her vehicle struck the two young men in a traffic lane. The men were part of a group of young adults riding on bicycles, scooters, and skateboards nearby.
Both men suffered critical injuries in the accident. One was rushed to Providence Regional Medical Center and the other to Harborview Medical Center. The young man who was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center later died from his injuries.
The woman remained behind after the accident and cooperated with authorities.
