News: One injured in suspected DUI crash on SR-99 in Everett

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — One person was injured early Monday morning in a two-car crash involving a suspected DUI driver on state Route 99 near Everett, according to Trooper Rocky Oliphant with Washington State Patrol.

The crash took place on the northbound lanes of SR-99 at Gibson Road near the Paine Field-Lake Stickney area and was reported by WSP at 12:16 a.m.

Few details have been shared on the crash, but at least one person sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The causing driver was arrested and is facing charges for vehicular assault and DUI.

Photos captured at the scene show significant damages to the hood areas of an SUV and a smaller car.

All northbound lanes of SR-99 were shut down as WSP investigated.
