News: Boy fatally struck by pickup truck in Lake Stevens

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A 12-year-old boy was fatally struck by a pickup truck Tuesday evening in Lake Stevens after he abruptly entered a street on his scooter, according to KOMO News.

The accident took place in the 5500 block of 91st Avenue Northeast at around 7:20 p.m.

The boy and a friend were riding scooters near the boy’s residence when the victim suddenly rode into the street where he was struck by the pickup truck.

The driver stopped the pickup and administered first aid to the boy until medics arrived.

The boy later died at the scene.

An investigation into the collision remains underway with cooperation from the driver of the pickup truck.
