SEATTLE, WA — A woman sustained injuries this past Sunday when a thrown rock struck and shattered the window of a car on Interstate 90 westbound in Seattle, according to KIRO 7 News.
The incident happened on the stretch of I-90 near the Interstate 5 merge as the vehicle traveled westbound under the Dr. P Jose-Rizal Bridge. The rock struck the window on the passenger side where the woman was seated at the time, sending glass shards to her face.
The woman sought treatment at an urgent care clinic where she had a piece of glass removed from her left eye.
Police were alerted of the incident, which follows a string of similar events involving objects thrown from overpasses on I-90.
