SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WA — A 64-year-old man was killed Sunday afternoon in a single-vehicle collision after losing control of his motorcycle north of Snohomish, according to News of Mill Creek.

The Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) with the Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene near the 6800 block of South Machias Road at approximately 2:20 p.m.

The man, a resident of Mountlake Terrace, was driving the motorcycle on South Machias Road when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The bike continued to travel straight and crash off the roadway.

Detectives said the man died at the scene.

An investigation remains active, but speed was not determined to have been a factor, and impairment is not suspected.
