News: Motorcyclist dies in two-vehicle collision in Tacoma’s Manitou area

PIERCE COUNTY, WA — A 46-year-old motorcyclist was killed Tuesday night after crashing into a sedan in the Manitou neighborhood of Tacoma, according to The News Tribune.

The accident took place in the 6800 block of Lakewood Drive West bordering Meadow Park Golf Course at around 8:00 p.m.

The motorcyclist had driven around another vehicle before strike a sedan making a left turn from 68th Street West. Investigators said the rider did not see the sedan in sufficient time to stop his bike.

The motorcyclist, whose identity remains undisclosed, died at the scene of the crash.

Police said the driver of the sedan is not suspected of DUI.
