The crash occurred on the I-5 northbound ramp to Interstate 705 and was first reported around 4:00 p.m.
WSP troopers and officials with the Tacoma division of Washington State Department of Transportation were at the scene.
The semi driver was reported to have sustained minor injuries.
Photos taken at the scene show the truck rolled over on its right side and the roadway’s right side barrier damaged.
Two right lanes were initially blocked, but the incident response blocked most of the surrounding area, including ramps connecting I-5 northbound to I-705 and nearby 26th Street. The state Route 7 northbound extension to I-705 and 26th Street were also impacted.
Alternate routes were recommended.
At 8:18 p.m., Trooper Reyer announced the road had been reopened.
