KIRKLAND, WA — A vehicle fire Wednesday evening forced three right lanes to close on Interstate 405 northbound near Kirkland, according to Washington State Department of Transportation.

The affected vehicle was stopped on the right shoulder along I-405 northbound south of Northeast 70th Place when the incident was first reported by WSDOT at 5:17 p.m.
Fire response crews arrived on scene shortly after, requiring three right northbound lanes to close.
Toll lanes were opened to detour all motorists on I-405 northbound north of state Route 520.
Shortly before 6:00 p.m., the scene was reported cleared and all lanes were reopened.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the incident or if any injuries were sustained.
