SEATTLE, WA — Two people were reported injured early Monday morning after a five-vehicle collision on Interstate 5 southbound near downtown Seattle, according to Seattle Fire Department.

The incident occurred on a stretch of I-5 southbound at Yesler Way and was reported by Seattle Fire at 12:18 a.m.
Fire crews were on the scene and were able to extricate two people who were trapped in their vehicle.
After being safely removed from the wreck, the two people were evaluated by fire crews before being transported to a hospital. They were reported to have been in stable condition.
No other injuries have yet been reported, and no further information has been revealed about the other parties involved.
