GRAYS HARBOR COUNTY, WA — A 12-year-old Cosmopolis boy and a 35-year-old Pacific Beach man were injured Sunday afternoon in a crash involving two cars on state Route 12 in Malone, according to The Daily World.

The incident occurred on a stretch of SR-12 at the Gore Avenue intersection at around 4:00 p.m.

The Washington State Patrol said a 41-year-old Cosmopolis man was driving westbound on SR-12 when he ran the stop sign at the intersection. The Cosmopolis man then struck the rear-passenger area of the vehicle driven by the Pacific Beach man, which caused the second vehicle to spin and roll.

The injured boy, who was one of the four passengers traveling with the Cosmopolis man, was taken to a nearby hospital for a precautionary evaluation.

The Pacific Beach man refused treatment for his minor injuries, according to WSP. Troopers found that he was driving with a suspended driver’s license and issued him a citation.

No other injuries were reported.

No further information was provided on the extent of damages sustained by the two vehicles.
