RICHLAND, WA — An injured driver suspected of driving while drunk fled the scene of a two-car crash Friday morning in Richland, according to Tri-City Herald.
The suspected driver, a 45-year-old Bremerton man, was heading north on the Richland Highway 240 bypass in a 2001 Suburban when his vehicle struck a Dodge pickup truck near Duportail Road at around 6:45 a.m.
The man exited his SUV and was later seen by Washington State Patrol troopers on a nearby foot trail.
He was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland for undisclosed injuries and was later reported to be arrested on four charges, including suspicion of DUI and hit and run
The driver and occupants in the pickup truck were not reported injured.
