HOQUIAM, WA — A 31-year-old Seattle man suffered injuries Monday night after being hit by a vehicle while riding his bike along state Route 109 in Hoquiam, according to KXRO News.
The incident occurred outside Hogan’s Corner Airport at around 11:00 p.m.
Officials said the man was riding a bicycle along the shoulder of SR 109 when a southbound vehicle hit him from behind and fled the scene as the man came to a rest in a ditch.
The bicyclist was transported to Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital
Washington State Patrol said the at-fault vehicle is a black sedan missing a passenger side mirror and encourages anyone with information to contact WSP or local law enforcement.
An investigation is in progress.
