SNOHOMISH CO., WA – A Tesla vehicle with its self-driving feature engaged collided with a police car that was responding to a previous collision on Saturday, Q 13 Fox reports. Fortunately, no one appears to have been hurt.
The incident comes nearly a month after a fatal collision involving a self-driving Tesla in Houston.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office says that a deputy was parked alongside 103rd Avenue NE at the time, where a car had collided with a utility pole. The deputy was out of the car when a self-driving Tesla collided with its front passenger side.
While the deputy was unscathed, the vehicle suffered significant front-end damage.
