MARYSVILLE, WA – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in Marysville on Saturday, KIRO 7 reports.

Police arrived at 88th Street and State Avenue sometime after 11:30 a.m. on May 8, and pronounced the victim—a man in his early 30s—dead at the scene. They say that a nearby witness warned the man as he walked on the tracks and that the engineer attempted to stop the train but was unsuccessful.
